Here’s how the Sagoss and Horizon Parking partnership helped Ashdown Forest provide the highest levels of motorist convenience when it came to payment using either one of 5 popular Mobile Apps.

Sagoss has an established partnership with Horizon Parking. The partnership has actively collaborated on numerous projects where the strength of each organisation can bring best value and realise customer ambitions.

 

Challenge

The Sagoss/Horizon Parking partnership strives to provide motorists with an easy parking journey, including convenient and straightforward payment methods. This was taken into account when tackling the following 2 key project requirements for Ashdown Forest.

1 – The customer needs to be able to pay via their preferred payment App provider (out of 5 potential providers). Therefore implementation and delivery of a multi-vendor solution for mobile payments in the UK is required.

2 –  Enforcement operators need to have access to the multi-vendor solution to correctly enforce the car park via a central platform. The output of which instils long term efficient and effective car park management.

Sagoss Solution

Sagoss delivered a solution that met all the requirements in full, integrating payment from all 5 App providers into a single enforcement platform.

The 5 payment App providers are:

  • Ringo
  • Horizon Parking
  • Just Park
  • You Parking Space
  • Pay By Phone

Solution Results

  • Motorists can select a mobile payment method from either of their preferred payment Apps
  • The enforcement officers (EO) work with a single enforcement App covering all 5 mobile payment Apps
  • All 5 App providers now use the same site location code which avoids confusion for motorists
  • To cater for motorists who do not have access to a smartphone, Sagoss has provided an online payment offering which does not require either App or mobile device
